Pirates of the Caribbean

The Pirates movies were a nice departure from the sci-fi spaceship world that we did a lot of in the visual effects world. We had a ship wright join our team to teach us how to build and rig the ships as they should be - even down to rope tying lessons. There are a LOT of different seaman’s knots. The models had to be fairly large so that the water would look right (water droplets don’t scale.)
